Professor Daniel Rivas is a Moya Brand Sponsored athlete and a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under legendary Bruno Bastos, with more than 20 years of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training and over 25 years of martial arts training, Professor Daniel Rivas is considered one of the most technical and accomplished instructors and competitors in the state of Texas. 
But more important than all that he is a proud father of a 11 year old daughter.
Professor Rivas journey in the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu started in 1998 and since that time he has trained and studied under some the best Jiu-Jitsu instructors throughout the United States and the World such as the Rafael Mendes, Guillerme Mendes,Andre Galvao, Dean Lister, Rafael Lovato, Justin Rader, Augusto Tanquinho, Daniel Montana, Pedro Brandao, Helio Soneca, Renzo Gracie, Daniel Gracie, Igor Gracie, Roger Gracie, Jeff Glover, Bruno Bastos, Gordon Ryan, Eddie Cummings, Tarsis Humphreys, Cobrinha, Saulo Ribeiro, Xande Ribeiro, Marcelo Garcia and many more.

Professor  Rivas thirst for Jiu-Jitsu knowledge continues to grow as each day passes. He is always looking to travel around the world and learn the newest and best techniques to add to his game and to his team.
