Team Rivas Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Kids Martial Arts
What can you expect when your kids start training at Team Rivas?
Exciting classes that your child will truly enjoy! Most children naturally start to wrestle on their own, whether it be with a friend or family member in the living room, backyard, or playground where you have to tell them to stop and behave before they break something. This is how much fun our classes really are, the perfect after-school activity. We focus your child’s energy in a positive and productive manner.
To help them succeed in life, Team Rivas Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu will teach your child how to use a few very important principles like respect, honor, loyalty, honesty, and integrity, to help them step up to be a Leader that will Help and Serve others instead of others.
Our kid’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program is built to get your child into shape by improving their stamina, agility, and coordination that will help them in their day-to-day activities and any other sport they decide to play. Our program also teaches students about Health and Nutrition. Our program teaches students that their bodies are not trash cans and by eating junk food and fast foods they are just throwing junk into their bodies. More and more students begin to change their eating habits by eating more fruits and vegetables and fewer hamburgers and french fries.
Builds their balance and coordination
Everyone talks about how great of exercise jiu-jitsu is and they wish that they could have started earlier. Getting your kids involved in jiu-jitsu at an early age is one of the greatest gifts you can give them. Developing balance and coordination at such an early age will not only keep them fit and healthy, but it will also help your child become an athletic and energetic individual throughout their lives. Although children do not understand the full benefits of what they are doing at such a young age, it is the responsibility of the parents to keep them motivated and continuing to go to classes to attain these great physical skills.
Builds confidence and self-esteem
Confidence is one of the most important traits for any person to have. Martial Arts have been famous for developing this in people at very early stages in life. As kids become more confident in their techniques and their performance in class, the same will happen with their school studies and their relationships with other people.
Allows for socializing and bonding
In class, children will meet many new friends and share experiences. Whether it is drilling techniques, playing a game, or rolling – it is great practice for kids to learn to communicate with other kids of all ages, as well as older authority figures like the instructors and assistant instructors.
